Our work focuses on properties where landscape is expected to perform at the same level as architecture. This includes coastal residences, hillside estates, and large landholdings where landform, circulation, and outdoor living spaces must be carefully resolved.
At LASD Studio, we design landscapes as living estates - places where architecture, art, ecology, and daily life merge into a coherent, evolving whole.
We work across Mallorca, including Palma de Mallorca, Son Vida, Deià, Sóller, Valldemossa, Santa Ponsa, Port d’Andratx, and Alcúdia.
Each project is developed in response to the specific client, the architecture, and the ecological conditions of the site.
Coastal properties in Port d’Andratx and Santa Ponsa require wind resistance, salt tolerance, and water-efficient systems. Hillside sites in Deià, Sóller, and Valldemossa demand careful grading, drainage control, and integration with existing stone terraces. Urban and estate environments in Palma and Son Vida require structured landscapes aligned with architecture and long-term vision.
The design intention is always client tailored and site-specific.
Landscape Design Shaped by Mallorca’s Architecture
Mallorca’s architecture carries a distinct sense of permanence.
Stone estates, Mediterranean villas, contemporary coastal houses, and rural fincas exist within close proximity, yet each responds differently to land, climate, and history. The landscape must be equally precise.
Our work develops in direct relationship to this context.
Traditional estates and Mediterranean villas are extended through courtyards, shaded sequences, and structured planting that reinforce depth and proportion. Contemporary residences are approached with restraint, where geometry, material transitions, and planting composition define space rather than decorate it. In rural fincas and hillside properties, the landscape is shaped through terraces, stonework, and gradual transitions that anchor the architecture into the land.
In more intimate settings, gardens are composed around daily use, where movement, light, and enclosure create a sense of continuity over time.
In each case, the landscape is not treated as a layer applied to architecture.

Landscape as Long-Term Investment
LASD Studio tend to work with clients who think in decades rather than seasons.
A landscape is not designed for immediate effect alone. It is structured to mature. As planting establishes, materials weather, and spatial relationships settle, the landscape gains clarity and presence.
This approach supports the long-term value of the property. It strengthens coherence between architecture and land, reduces unnecessary maintenance, and allows ecological systems to stabilize. Soil improves, microclimates become more defined, and biodiversity begins to reappear as part of the environment.
In Mallorca’s coastal and hillside conditions, landscape also provides protection. Wind, exposure, and seasonal dryness are moderated through structure, planting, and spatial arrangement, creating environments that feel calm, grounded, and inhabitable throughout the year.
For many of our clients, landscape is not considered a short-term investment.
It is a long-term commitment to place, continuity, and the quiet evolution of the property over time.
Living Landscape as Evolving Beauty
LASD Studio landscapes are designed so that butterflies, birds, and native wildlife become part of daily experience. Subtle movement, seasonal change, scent, sound, and shadow are composed with intention, creating gardens that feel alive, intimate, and grounded in nature, even within exposed coastal environments. Our planting plans support ecological sustainability, designed with precision to support life on different trophic layers.
Our Internal Technology
LASD Studio work-flow is supported by an advanced in-house landscape architectural system.
Design, ecological data, and construction logic are developed together. Water demand, material quantities, and site systems are resolved during the design process, allowing for clarity, precision, and controlled execution on site.
